Just a reminder that new Corsicana Lady Tigers girls basketball coach Arthur Prevost will be on my "Sports Talk of the Town" radio show on KAND 1340-AM today at 12:30 p.m. for the full 30 minutes.
Prevost is going to resurrect Lady Tigers hoops. I am sure of that. Listen to how he's going to do it. Here's my column I wrote on him last month.

Harrell to the CFL?
Hard to believe that Graham Harrell will play in the CFL.
It's really difficult to come up with a good reason why Harrell isn't headed for an NFL training camp later this month.
I had The Dallas Morning News' Brandon George, who covered Harrell during his college career at Tech, on my radio show on KAND last month and we spent several minutes trying to come up with reasons for the NFL's snubbing of Harrell. It of course comes down to this notion he's a "system" quarterback. Try telling that to the Texas defensive backs that saw him drop that pass into Michael Crabtree's hands last fall in Lubbock.
Certainly someone would have invited Harrell to an NFL camp later this month. It will be interesting to hear from Harrell in the next few days. It could be that he sees Saskatchewan as an opportunity to play.

The 14-and-under Blue All-Stars will play Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. in Rowlett against Irving Blue, which demolished Rowlett, 27-2. The winner will advance to the championship game on Friday, while the loser will have to play an elimination game Thursday.
Hard-throwing Donovan Fields pitched the final two innings, striking out four while not allowing a hit.

Corsicana Blue All-Stars open West Regionals tonight
The Corsicana Blue Pony League All-Stars will open up the West Pony Region Tournament at 8:30 p.m. tonight against Denison in Rowlett. This is a confident 14-and-under team as I wrote about today.
This would be a huge grudge match if ex-Daily Sun sports writer Shawn Edwards was still here at the paper. Edwards hails from Denison.
Anyway, Holden Grounds is the likely starter tonight, which would set up Heath Donica to pitch Wednesday night, hopefully in a winner's bracket game against the Rowlett-Irving Blue winner also at 8:30 in Rowlett.
Check in later tonight for an update on how the Blue-All Stars did. Tonight's result will not make Wednesday's print edition.
